Proposal: East London 'Movers and Shakers Project'?
Susie Morrow , the initiator of the Wandsworth' Movers and Shakers' project, gave a presentation at our October Group Meeting .
The 'Movers and Shakers' project aims to get the community's leaders and role models 'on their bikes' by offering bike training and support to elected representatives, celebrities, community and faith leaders, business leaders etc. Susie leads a Steering group in Wandsworth which has sorted out the practicalities of grant applications, a database of people to be invited and so on.The Wandsworth project has turned out to be highly successful in promoting a better understanding of cyclists' concerns, and we want to see if we can make it work in Redbridge.---------------------------------------------------------------------
