The Woodford Meet's income was £3,351.30.
Organisation and running costs came to £351.30, all
of which were covered by the financial sponsorship from several organisations
and individuals
The remaining £3,000 was divided equally among three local charities:
- Woodford Court (a development of twelve purpose built bungalows
for disabled adults run by Scope)
- The Margaret Centre (a hospice at Whipps Cross hospital)
- Epping Forest Centenary Trust (a charity supporting conservation
and education work on forest land)
All of the money paid in entry fees, donated or collected on the day
has been given to these charities - none was used to pay for operational
or organisational costs.
The photographs on this page show representatives of The Margaret Centre, The Epping Forest Centenary Trust and Woodford Court with the Mayor, Councillor Maureen Hoskins, and her Consort, Councillor Richard Hoskins, at the presentation hosted by Top Banana to present the cheques to the three beneficiaries of the Woodford Meet.
