Roding Valley Way

Redbridge LCC and other local LCC groups suggested in 2000 that a cycle route linking the Thames National Cycle Route to the Essex countryside following the course of the River Roding would be both useful for leisure and commuting cyclists.

The idea was accepted by the local councils (Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Redbridge) and work has been completed on several sections of the route.

Within Redbridge, the route runs beside the Roding from Redbridge station to Charlie Brown's roundabout, diverts past Tesco and follows the river from there to Woodford Bridge.

Sections of the route have also been completed in Barking and Dagenham.
