The best maps for both local and London cycling are available from Transport for London. The maps cover all of London and are free - copies can be found at most local Underground stations, libraries and can be ordered from TfL via their website.
If you prefer to talk to someone about routes, you can contact the Borough Cycling Officer (details in Contacts) or call one of our Bike buddies.
There are many secure cycle parking racks in Redbridge. If you have suggestions for additional cycle parking or would like to know where local parking is available, please contact the Borough Cycling Officer.
There are several places for leisure cycling in the borough - these are good for people returning to cycling or families. Favourites are the cycle routes in the borough's parks (Valentines, Seven Kings and Loxford), Fairlop Waters, the Roding Valley Way and Hainault Forest. The River Lea also provides some excellent, traffic-free cycling and a chance to explore London's waterways.
There are many publications giving details of cycle routes in the UK. A web search will get you started. Sustrans (see Contacts) can provide details of the National cycle route network.
